Advent Giving Manger
With so many people still isolated with the pandemic, we are encouraging everyone in our parish to try to reach out to someone during Advent by doing some kind of Random Act of Kindness.
Click on the link here to find a list of ideas of ways to be kind to others.
We also have names of parish members who may appreciate a simple note or Christmas card just to say we are thinking about them and praying for them this Advent. (You can get names in the Gathering area of the church) if you wish to do this kindness.
Once you have done some act of kindness, we ask that you write it on a slip of paper (straws) to be placed in the manger in church. We hope to be able to fill the manger with many acts of kindness straws by the time Christmas comes.
Each weekend, we have a full sheet of paper "Straws" available; inserted in the bulletin. You can pick up extras in the Gathering area.
For those of you who can not come to pick one up, there is a link here for a
page of straws that you can print out yourself. Cut the straws apart. You can pick and choose which Acts of Kindness you wish to do. Some of the straws are blank so that you can write your own kindness deeds on them.
When you come to church, you can place them in the manger up by the altar in the church. If you can not get to church, you can send them in the mail to the parish office. Be sure to mail them in by December 18th so it arrives before Christmas.
